Teaming up with Algarve Triathlons, the competition will take place in a scenery surrounded by hectares of Natural Parks, national monuments, cliffs and beaches. 

The triathlon aims to give an amazing ride trough Sagres and to take participants to “Finisterra” – the end of the world as the Europeans though it until the 1400s.

Participants can choose from the Sprint Triathlon (half mile swim in the sea, 20km bike and 5krun) or the Olympic Triathlon (9 miles swim in the sea, 40km bike and 10 km run).

The sea swimming will take place at Martinhal Beach while the run will take place around the resort. The bicycle route will take participants through the charming fishing village of Sagres along a route past the historical Fortress of Sagres, Fort of Beliche, to the lighthouse at the Cape of St. Vincent – located at the Southwestern-most point in Europe.

Participation can be individual or team/relay. Details can be found on www.martinhaltriathlon.com. All the proceeds for the participation in the Triathlon will go to NECI - a local charity based in the western Algarve.
