The Grand Millennium Dubai hosted a special Iftar gathering at The Atrium restaurant for more than 50 victims from the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, as part of its continued Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - July 30th, 2014 - The Grand Millennium Dubai hosted a special Iftar gathering at The Atrium restaurant for more than 50 victims from the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, as part of its continued Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The diners enjoyed the delicious Iftar buffet featuring an array of tempting Arabic and international dishes including a selection of starters, hot dishes, desserts and traditional Ramadan juices.

Afra Al Basti, Director General of Dubai Foundation for Women and Children “DFWAC”, Thanked The Grand Millennium Dubai hotel for their kind initiative in the holy month of Ramadan to support DFWAC’s efforts to help victims of violence  women and children.

Speaking on the occasion, General Manager of the Grand Millennium Dubai, Mr. Peter Mansourian said that, Iftar dinner was hosted in line with the hotel’s spirit of sharing and caring during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He said, “This was our way to reflect on the significance of the Holy month of Ramadan, which is not limited to the Islamic community, but for the entire mankind. It reminds us to think about the less fortunate brothers and sisters in our surrounding as well as in other parts of the world.”

Mr. Mansourian pointed out that the hotel has often provided its support to social and community initiatives to help the underprivileged in the society. There is no better time than the Holy month of Ramadan to be charitable and give back to the community that we live in, thrive in and have so much to be grateful for.

“We decided to invite these residents of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, because these women and children are victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. While the foundation provides them shelter service as well as social and psychological care, they also need love and affection from the community,” he added.
