PRESS RELEASE, 10 October 2014
25kg of Christmas Pudding, 10lt of Horseradish & 30,000 Tea Bags…!
Le Ski - the chalet specialists – have revealed what it takes to supply a ski season.
The Huddersfield-based tour operator – which specialises the French ski resorts of Courchevel 1650, La Tania and Val d’Isere – has published the supplies required for their 30 chalets in the Alps across the season.
The data is revealed in a new set of infographics recently shared on their website.
They show that the British are certainly a nation of tea lovers – Le Ski ships over 30,000 tea bags out to the Alps each winter.
The Christmas shop is always the biggest of the year – but imagine if you had to buy 25kg of Christmas puddings, 60kg of Christmas Mincemeat and 350 Christmas crackers!
Breakfast is a vital meal if you’re going out for a day’s skiing, so it’s no surprise to learn that Le Ski buys over 2000kg of oats and 300 bags of muesli each winter.
And even if you hate it, plenty of people love Marmite – Le Ski buy 30kg of it each season.
The full list of purchases bought in the UK and taken out to the Alps is detailed here:
30,800 Tea Bags
300 Bags of muesli

50kg Golden Syrup
30kg Marmite
