REZDY RAMPS UP ONLINE DISTRIBUTION FOR TOUR AND ACTIVITY OPERATORS

Rezdy, a global tour operator software provider, announced today that they are continuing to establish strategic partnerships with online distribution channels in an effort to connect their customers to more online opportunities.

(TRAVPR.COM) AUSTRALIA - October 7th, 2014 - Rezdy’s official distribution partners include;

Viator, the world’s largest OTA for tours and activities;

RedBalloon, an award-winning experience gift retailer in Australia & New Zealand;

Gifts That Thrill, another long-standing Australian experience gift company;

NTstandby, the largest home-grown OTA in Australia’s Northern Territory.

FreemanX Experience, another well-established Australian experience retailer.

Backpacker Deals, a niche travel website offering deals for the growing student and youth market around the world.

Tour and activity suppliers who use Rezdy can sell their inventory in real time to the customers of these OTAs and online marketplaces.

More channels are on the way, with Rezdy’s Strategic Partnership Manager Duncan Waterman focusing entirely on establishing partnerships with online distribution channels.

Rezdy CEO and Founder Simon Lenoir said, “We’re going to meet the demand for consolidating the industry’s data and opening it up to distribution – and because Rezdy is not owned by tour operators or agents, we can connect more suppliers to more distribution channels than anyone else in the industry.”

By connecting Rezdy’s software to OTAs and online marketplaces,

  • Customers of OTAs and online marketplaces can book and pay in real time.
  • Agents find and access more products to offer their customers.
  • Tour operators and agents become more productive by avoiding double data entry, overbooking and manual error.
  • Tour operators gain access to new audiences, expanding their online presence.

This is not Rezdy’s first foray into online distribution. Their 2-way API and Agent Desk platform already allows travel agents, concierges, and other suppliers to resell tour and activity products within Rezdy.

Of using the Agent Desk, Colin Thwaite, Owner & Director of Oz Whale Watching, said, “[Agents] can see your live calendar, book people in, and bang – you get the money, they get the commission, and everyone’s happy.”

The move towards connecting suppliers to agents is one that will be a consistent part of Rezdy’s strategy.
