But for this, it is important to promote eco-consciousness amongst the staff first. And what better way to do that than to spend a day at the Greenworks Nursery."

It was a different kind of experience for the staff of the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel as they went on a guided tour around the nursery and participated in various horticultural and environmental activities at Greenworks, Dubai's largest privately owned plant nursery.
The Park Regis team was taken around the 19-hectare nursery where they got to observe and learn the names of over 700 species of plants. They listened with rapt attention as the assistants at Greenworks shared their knowledge and expertise with them.

Following the tour, the team involved themselves in the "Give Us a Ghaf – Tree Planting Programme". They witnessed how trees and shrubs were pruned to remove any broken foliage, how damages to plants were treated, and how plants were watered. They learnt how to sort, count and measure seedlings and saplings, and finally cleaned the seeds, filled pots and planted the seeds in them.  "All this made us feel that we were doing our bit for the community and contributing to the environment," said an elated Scott Butcher.
