GRAND CANYON HELICOPTER TOURS CELEBRATES 2015 WITH GREAT FLIGHT DEALS
Industry: Tours

Make 2015 a year to remember. Take a helicopter tour. Flights on sale now. Book one before they are sold out.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - January 9th, 2015 - To help ring in the New Year, Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours is rolling out some great new flights that will take travelers over some of the most beautiful sections of the National Park.

The company, which is based in Las Vegas, NV, offers daily flights from Vegas and South Rim, AZ. Departures are hourly and are available as air-only or landing tours (only available from Las Vegas).

"Helicopter tours are an awesome option for travelers who are looking to maximize their time at the Canyon," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours. "What takes visitors days to see on foot takes a helicopter traveler a couple of hours or less."

Las Vegas

From Vegas, travelers go to the West Rim and can fly over it or land on the top or bottom. There are no Vegas helicopters that go to the South Rim (those travelers seeking to do the South Rim can take a 60-minute plane tour that includes a helicopter ride).

All Vegas helicopters go over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. Air-only will turn back after flying over the Canyon. Landing tours will go to the bottom or top and can be extended to include Skywalk tickets and boat rides.

"The most popular landing tour is the one that goes to the bottom for a Champagne picnic," noted Kravitz. "That's followed by the one that includes a Colorado River boat cruise and VIP tickets to the Grand Canyon Skywalk."

Vegas helicopters are available in basic and deluxe packages. Basic tours come with free hotel shuttle service to and from Boulder City, which takes approximately 35 minutes to reach. Deluxe packages include free hotel limousine service, depart from the Las Vegas Strip and come with a Strip tour.

"Deluxe tours are more expensive but they are more convenient and more ideal for travelers celebrating a special occassion," said Kravitz. "Plus you get to fly The Strip from top to bottom. Nothing quite comes close to what a traveler will see and do during a deluxe tour."

South Rim

South Rim helicopter tours take off from Grand Canyon National Park Airport in Tusayan, AZ, which is located about 60 miles from Williams, AZ, and Flagstaff, AZ. "In most cases, travelers will drive to the GNCP Airport," noted Kravitz. "It's impossible to miss. Just look for helicopters landing and taking off."

South Rim helicopters are air-only and are available as 30-minute flights and 50-minute flights. The former goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back and includes the Dragoon Corridor, which is the widest, deepest section of the Canyon.

The 50-minute flight does everything the 30-minute one does except it includes everything up to the Park's eastern boundary. "By the time this trip is completed, a traveler will have seen up to 75 percent of the entire National Park. From a time standpoint, it's unbeatable!"
