For a 10th straight year, Waterville Valley Resort is donating its resources to raise money for Boarding For Breast Cancer. Over the previous 9 years, Waterville Valley Resort has raised $43,000 for B4BC, which is a non-profit, youth focused, education, awareness, and fundraising foundation.
(TRAVPR.COM) USA - January 14th, 2015 - Waterville Valley, NH – For a 10th straight year, Waterville Valley Resort is donating its resources to raise money for Boarding For Breast Cancer. Over the previous 9 years, Waterville Valley Resort has raised $43,000 for B4BC, which is a non-profit, youth focused, education, awareness, and fundraising foundation. This two day event concentrates the donation efforts of both employees and guests has been steadily increasing in size and stature every year, including this year which combines B4BC’s presence with a lift ticket special for Super Bowl Sunday.
One of the unique aspects of Waterville Valley Resort’s efforts is the variety of methods in which they collect donations. As the second day of the event takes place the same day as Super Bowl 49, all lift tickets will be priced at just $49 and $1 from every ticket sold will go to B4BC. There are limited edition pink stickers featuring the Waterville Valley Resort logo, which are being sold throughout the resort for $2 or for $1 you can purchase a pink ribbon, which will adorn the Base Lodge as they “turn the mountain pink.”
In celebration of the event there will also be a prize raffle. Tickets can be purchased in the base lodge for $2 each. Prizes include everything from new snowboards to helmets and other outerwear. The drawing will take place at 3pm on Sunday and guests do not need to be present to win.
The B4BC event will be capped off on Sunday, February 1, with a rail jam from 11am to noon in Exhibition terrain park. Registration is $25 and open to anyone. Awards will be given out in the Base Lodge following the rail jam at 12:15pm.
