VenturaCountyWest (Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura) received one of SportsEvents’ 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards.
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - January 15th, 2015 - VenturaCountyWest (Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura) received one of SportsEvents’ 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards. VenturaCountyWest was selected after a nomination process by SportsEvents readers who were asked to choose which locations in California provided a high standard of professionalism and quality service in hosting sports events. The Readers’ Choice Awards for all 50 states and Puerto Rico were announced January 9.
Each year, dozens of local, state and national sporting events take place in VenturaCountyWest including events for USA BMX, the National Softball Association, Western Surfing Association and the Ojai Tennis Tournament. Soccer, boxing, marathons, cycling, beach volleyball and golf are also part of the mix. The Dallas Cowboys regularly holds its training camp in Oxnard.
“VenturaCountyWest has an abundance of venues to host events for young players to adults,” says Rebekah Evans, executive director of the Ventura County Lodging Association, which markets VenturaCountyWest. “Our sports-friendly hotels have more than 4,000 rooms so sports planners and tournament directors know they can easily accommodate athletes and their families. This summer, VenturaCountyWest hotels will supply lodging for the 2015 Special Olympics.”
For the SportsEvents Readers Choice Awards, nominations were received from readers throughout the year, and the top picks were selected based on results from an online voting system.
