Airline miles and hotel points are a lot more valuable than the airlines, hotels and banks lead you on to believe.

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - January 22nd, 2015 — Travel Education Network (TEN), the nation’s only course-based consumer advocate in the world of points and miles, officially launches at the 2015 NY Times Travel Show. TEN founders, Ari Charlestein and Howard Rappaport, will take the main stage on Saturday, January 24th in what will be the company’s kick-off presentation for 2015. Their talk, Using Points & Miles to Travel Like the 1%, uncovers the true value and limitless possibilities that exist with points and miles.

“Consumers are spending more money on more credit cards than ever before, and banks are showering us with more points and miles than at any other time in history. No one is looking out for consumers though, “ said TEN co-founder Ari Charlestein. “The banks are taking advantage of our naiveté and lack of understanding to increase their ever-expanding profits. The reality however, is points and miles can be worth 10x what the banks would otherwise pay out.”

The lack of transparency in loyalty programs is the fundamental problem which led to the creation of Travel Education Network. Charlestein added, “It’s our responsibility to uncover the truth behind points and miles and to share those truths with the traveling public.”

TEN will be hosting a series of live seminars in cities across the country, beginning with Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, February 7th. TEN also offers customized seminars to small and medium-sized businesses looking for a tailored learning experience in the comfort of their home office. “The beauty of points and miles is that everyone can ‘play the game.’ Individuals and businesses; it really doesn’t matter,” Charlestein said.

TEN has a team of experienced travelers and motivational speakers across the country leading their classes including their co-founders Charlestein and Rappaport. More information can be found at
