UP (Uttar Pradesh) Tourism will introduce a new plan 'Lucknow by cycle' for tourists by the last part of January and afterwards in heritage towns of Agra and Varanasi.

"Under the plan to be introduced by the last part of this month, cycles will be supplied on rent to travellers,” said Amrit Abhijat, Director General Tourism.He also said that in several nations such as China, cycles are accessible on hire at local level in some towns to visit sightseer spots.
 
Cycles are also accessible for city tours in Berlin, Munich in Amsterdam, London and Germany. On similar lines, Uttar Pradesh tourism is introducing 'Lucknow by cycle'," he added.He mentioned that in lanes where it’s not feasible to reach by four-wheeler, it’ll be easy to reach via cycle.

The Director General said that keeping in view the fame of inheritance walk: it has been chosen to make cycle trip its part.  He quoted that in the 1st phase 8-geared cycles would be supplied by Uttar Pradesh Tourism on a rent of two-hundred rupees.  "The trip which will begin from Residency will stop at Shahnajaf Imambara via Chotta & Bara Imambaras," he added.

He mentioned that a guide would escort the sightseers and supply info regarding the historical constructions. He also said that similar plans would be introduced in Agra and Varanasi.
 
"It’ll be most thriving in Varanasi where the travellers have to go through contracted by lanes," he added. “If overseas travellers get cycles in Lucknow, they’ll feel more comfy,” he said.
