Solomon Islands national carrier to commence new direct weekly service between Sydney and Honiara from June this year.
(TRAVPR.COM) SOLOMON AIRLINES - February 15th, 2015 - Offering major potential for the Solomon Islands business, leisure and VFR markets, Solomon Airlines announced today that it will commence operation of a direct Sydney-Honiara service from 02 June, 2015, subject to government approval.
Scheduled to operate ex-Honiara on Mondays and ex-Sydney on Tuesdays, the airline will herald the new service with a special AUD599* return fare inclusive of all taxes, in-flight meals and entertainment plus a generous 30 kilo baggage allowance.
Solomon Airlines will utilise its Airbus A320 on the new route which has been specifically timed to offer seamless flight linkage between several Australian cities and also international connections.
These include Canberra, Melbourne and Perth and internationally, for passengers connecting to and from New Zealand, the US, Asia, the Middle East, the UK and Europe.
The new flight schedule will operate as follows:
Monday - Flight IE 710 Honiara-Sydney
Departing Honiara 1515
Arriving Sydney 1830
Tuesday – Flight IE 711 Sydney-Honiara
Departing Sydney 0930
Arriving Honiara 1445
Solomon Airlines currently operates four weekly flights between Brisbane and Honiara and vice-versa.
Solomon Airlines is headquartered in Honiara. The airline currently operates regular return services from Honiara to Brisbane, Fiji and Vanuatu and as well as an extensive domestic network around the Solomon Islands. From 01 June 2015 the airline will commence operation of a direct Honiara-Sydney service
