A1 Travel has just announced the most popular destinations for an Easter Holiday in 2015
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - March 3rd, 2015 - The firm is still taking Easter bookings, but they can see from the bookings already taken which destinations are going to be the most popular with UK holidaymakers this year. Of all of the Easter breaks the firm has sold, to date, 18% have been for Tenerife and 12% for Sharm el Sheikh. Lanzarote comes in third place with 11% of the bookings.

“Historically Tenerife has always been in our top 2 most popular Easter break destinations that are booked online but I was surprised to see Sharm el Sheikh in second spot, above Lanzarote, considering the negative coverage Egypt has had in the last 6 months, but customers were enticed due to the heavy discounted hotel rooms being promoted.”
Sharm El Sheikh holidays have been growing in popularity over the past decade. The resort is only a five-hour flight from most UK airports, and the resort has a beautiful beach and facilities.
Add in the fact that over the past decade, British holidaymakers have been favouring luxury holidays, but are earning less and you have the last piece of the puzzle. In Sharm El Sheikh, it is easy to find five star accommodation at three star prices meaning British holidaymakers can get the luxury they crave at a price they can still afford.
Tenerife has always been popular for Easter, and is again this year. British holidaymakers know that the island’s Southerly location means it warms up earlier in the year than other popular holiday locations like mainland Spain and Portugal. This year Tenerife is especially popular for families with young children whereas it is mainly couples that are opting for the more exotic Sharm El Sheikh.
A1 Travel is still taking bookings and still has several good Easter deals available. For example, 7 nights (all inclusive) at the Isla Bonita Tenerife departing on the 31st March from Gatwick for just £523pp. There are also 7 night all-inclusive Sharm el Sheikh packages still available. The best 7night deal is £682pp, which includes flights to and from Birmingham with the outbound flight leaving on 31st March.
With Easter, the number of deals available is always limited and they are snapped up fast. Once the deals have gone the cost of an Easter break soars, so it is always best to book as early as possible.
