Grasshopper Adventures, the Asia cycling specialists launch a new family tour offering an alternative way of travelling from Bangkok to the Gulf of Thailand islands
(TRAVPR.COM) CAMBODIA - April 17th, 2015 - Grasshopper Adventures is continuing to expand its range of holidays for families with the launch of another new cycling tour, suitable for anyone who is comfortable on a bike. As with all Grasshopper family tours, this trip is all about discovery and fun rather than speed or distance.
Why fly or take the train from Bangkok to the islands when a much more exciting and memorable option exists in the form of a two-wheeled adventure? Easy riding, with plenty of off-the-bike activities, great food and excellent accommodation make this a memorable family holiday, both active and educational.
Start with a transfer from Bangkok to Hua Hin, where the cycling begins. From here hug the coast, pedalling through small towns with lovely beaches and boutique hotels. Visit national parks and an elephant conservation project before ending the ride on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand, from where you can take the boat to the island of your choice: Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan or Koh Tao.
Over 5 days this very accessible 156km ride travels on mostly flat, traffic-less back roads and is lead by charming English-speaking local guides. We take a slow and relaxed pace, and the support vehicle is always on hand for those who fancy a break from riding.
