CAMBO CHALLENGE - CAMBODIAN TUK TUK CHARITY ADVENTURE CHALLENGE
Industry: Adventure

Cambo Challenge, adventure tuk tuk challenges across Cambodia

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - April 22nd, 2015 - Large Minority Travel, the leading provider of adventure charity challenges, will be running the 3rdedition of the Cambo Challenge from 17th to 28th October 2015. The 12-day tuk tuk adventure taking place in Cambodia will see 20 teams/50 adventurists from all over the world explore more than 1650km of the Kingdom of Wonder.

Travelling through Cambodia is awesome. Travelling through Cambodia behind the wheel of a Japanese-powered, Cambodian-designed tuk tuk is even better. From the emblematic Angkor Wat to the pristine southern coast, this self-drive adventure charity challenge will give teams of two or three a close up and personal experience of some of the most fascinating heritage sites of Cambodia, while raising money for local charities.

The route which will cover more than 1650km of rugged and unexplored terrain, will provide challenging roads, innumerable potholes, and a few numb asscheeks no doubt. Participants will be tested mentally and physically throughout the Challenge. Julian Carnall, co-founder and organizer of the Large minority Travel, who along with Juan Paredes co-founded the Cambo Challenge says: “ Make no mistake, this is a mentally and physically challenging journey that will push your boundaries and test you in many ways. But there’ll be enough help and support along the way to get you over the line. The Cambo Challenge is the bucketlist item you never knew you needed to tick off”.

The event, which is supported by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, is also proud to partner with P.M. Green Travel Ltd. as the official ground handler and local event partner.  The organizers anticipate a total of 20 teams/50 international participants for their 2015 edition.

Responsible Travel

The Cambo Challenge team will continue to support its local charity projects. A total of 10 per cent of each team’s entry fee will be allocated towards different charitable projects. Paredes adds: “Our challenges are designed to benefit the countries we visit. We make sure our trips give more to the locals than they take and that you can get involved in our projects first-hand. So rest assured that your kickass adventure will have a direct, positive impact on the communities you’ll pass through”. The organisers also encourage each team to raise additional funds for their preferred charities in or out of Cambodia.
