A1 TRAVEL OFFER BRITS THE CHANCE OF RELIEF FROM GENERAL ELECTION MADNESS

Thousands or Brits are planning to get away during the general election and A1 travel are helping them to do so by providing a range of great last minute deals.

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - April 27th, 2015 - A1 Travel is responding to an increase in interest in holidays with flights leaving on or around the date of the election. Following an uplift in interest in flights around that time A1 Travel put together deals for popular European destinations that leave the UK on election day.

The travel firm has been able to take advantage of the fact that there are still a lot of unsold seats on planes leaving the UK on Election Day, something that has enabled them to put together the following low cost packages:

A 7 night stay at the four-star Pasa Beach Hotel  in Marmaris, Turkey. This is an all-inclusive deal with the price starting at £272pp . All flights for this deal leave from London Gatwick.

Flying from Gatwick and staying at the five-star Gran Bali Hotel in Benidorm, Spain on a half board basis costing from £308pp.

An all-inclusive holiday at the Aquis Arina Sand Hotel in Crete, Greece flying from Gatwick. For this deal, prices start at £249pp.

A seven night all-inclusive package at the three star Hi Honolulu Hotel in Palma Nova, Majorca. All flights leave from London Gatwick and prices start at £209.

There is no doubt that these deals will prove popular with the British public. Many people want to vote by post and avoid all the fuss of the election.

With many of these packages those who still want to vote will still be able to do so, and still get away. This is because some of the flights do not leave until the afternoon leaving enough time for people to go to the polling station and still make it to the airport in time for their flight. This ensures that everyone can take advantage of these low cost holidays.

May is set to be a busy month for the UK travel industry. Most of those who will take advantage of the election day holiday deals will be couples or those with young children. Families with school age children are likely to wait for the school holidays, at the end of May, to get away.

Those families will benefit from the fact that from the 1st of May Air Passenger Duty (APD) will be abolished from those aged under 12. This reduction in the average cost of a family holiday is a welcome one, which is set to help to make this May one of the busiest on record for the UK travel industry.
