Meet focuses on empowering hotel property management system, enhancing guest experience and improving employee productivity
(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - June 2nd, 2015 - Bangalore 2nd June 2015: IDS Next, the global leader in Hospitality Technology and Panasonic, one of the world’s largest electronic products manufacturer jointly organized a hotelier meet on 21st May, 2015. The event titled ‘Empower Your Property Management System, Enhance Guest Experience and Employee Productivity’ highlighted how hoteliers could leverage technology to enhance guest satisfaction and optimize use of manpower.
The hoteliers meet focused on recent solutions launched by both IDS Next and Panasonic, namely, Panasonic PBX solution - interfaced with the IDS Next Hotel ERP, Easy Dine - mobile and tablet based e-menu app and SkyRes–web-based central reservation system. The event was attended by over 70 hoteliers, general managers and senior hospitality professionals.
Speaking at the meet, Mr. Ronnie Sarkar, Chief Operating Officer at IDS Next said, “Technology has become an integral part of today’s highly competitive hospitality ecosystem. Apart from streamlining operations, hoteliers and restaurateurs are leveraging technology to offer quality guest experience. This is why we partnered with Panasonic to roll out solutions that radically benefit hoteliers.”
Citing an example on the importance of guest facing hospitality technology, Mr. Sarkar said that product like Easy Dine facilitates personalized and efficient service. “The steward mode of Easy Dine enables restaurants to retain guests longer, plug revenue leakage and enhances employee productivity. The guest facing mode of Easy Dine enables diners to customize their food, view pictures of the dish, review their order and more. Restaurants can also use this app to collect feedback from their patrons and do away with the paper method. Easy Dine has been carefully developed to help restaurants increase profitability.”
A new solution introduced to attendees of the Hotelier meet was SkyRes. This is a central reservation system that is ideally suited from chains and group hotels. SkyRe sis a web-based solution that displays real-time availability of accommodation, room rates, and is able to centrally maintain room types, rate codes, market segments & business sources for all properties. SkyRes is feature rich and designed to enable hotel chains to grow room occupancy and up sell services.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Aniraban Banerjee, Category Manager (PBX & IP Solutions) India & SAARC at Panasonic said, “Through this partnership with IDS Next, we aim to help hoteliers leverage best in class PBX solution which is integrated with IDS Next Hotel ERP. This integration offers room automation, networking, multi-lingual voice mail and reservation desk.”
According to Mr. Banerjee, the integration between Panasonic’s PBX and IDS Next Hotel ERP ensures accurate communications of information like guest calls, requests, queries and complaints to all relevant departments. “Telephone charges get posted instantly in the Hotel ERP minus human interference. This ensures zero malpractice by staff related to telephone bill posting. It also plugs revenue leakage and adds to the hotel’s bottom line,” he said.
