GRAND CANYON HELICOPTER TOURS OFFERS HOT SUMMER 2015 FLIGHT DEALS
Industry: Travel Offers

Summer helicopter tour specials now available. Las Vegas and South Rim. Air or landing. Deals will sell out. Lock in your seats. Book now.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - July 16th, 2015 - Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours announced today that it's posted its newest summer deal promotions that are good for flights originating from Las Vegas, NV, and Tusayan/South Rim, AZ.

"The air-only flight from Las Vegas is now on sale as is the helicopter/Jeep package from the South Rim," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours. "But book ASAP as these tours are expected to sell out quickly."

Deals

The Las Vegas special departs daily and flies over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon before circling back to the city. There's also a deluxe version of the tour that includes hotel limousine service and an extended tour over The Strip.

The deluxe version also utilizes the EcoStar 130 helicopter. This superior flying machine boasts 25 percent more cabin space than that used on the promotional tour. It also comes with stadium-style bucket seats and a 180-degree wraparound windshield.

"The EcoStar 130 by far the best way to experience the Canyon from the air," noted Kravitz.

South Rim

The South Rim's helicopter/Jeep package is also on sale. This tour features a 30-minute helicopter ride from the South Rim to the North Rim and back. Guests then transfer to a Jeep 4x4 and enjoy a 2-hour tour inside the National Park that stops at all key landmarks and lookouts.

"This tour is the only way to see the National Park from air and ground," said Kravitz. "It's a unique experience because guests get a big-picture view of the Park prior to seeing its ground-based highlights."

Please note that Las Vegas helicopters do not fly to the South Rim because it's too far. Travelers who want to visit the South Rim from Las Vegas are advised to take one of several airplane tours that reach that Rim in under 60 minutes.

Overnight

In addition, Las Vegas travelers who are driving to the South Rim can expect to spend up to 5.5 hours driving there. "Of the Vegas travelers who do this, the majority are either passing by the South Rim or planning to spend the night," noted Kravitz.

Las Vegas is the only destination that offers landing tours. Such flights go to the bottom and top of the Canyon, with the most popular being the one that lands at the base for a Champagne picnic. "This tour is #1 with travelers," noted Kravitz. "And to make it even more exciting, it can be upgraded to include a Colorado River boat ride and a VIP Grand Canyon Skywalk pass."

Hot Weather

Being that it's summer, travelers are advised to dress for heat. Temperatures are hotter at the West Rim than the South Rim, with mid-day temps hitting more than 100 degrees. "To enjoy the tour, prepare for heat," noted Kravitz. "It's recommended that travelers wear a hat, sunglasses, sun block and a lightweight long-sleeved shirt. It’s also wise to pack trail mix and water."
