Canadian Resort Conference Announces 2015 Session Schedule
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - August 4th, 2015 - The Canadian Resort Conference (CRC 2015) has unveiled its series of sessions for the upcoming annual event produced by Perspective Group on behalf of Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA), a trade association dedicated to furthering the interests of the resort industry throughout Canada and worldwide.
CRC 2015 will see senior-level executives from the hotel and resort industry gather, Sept. 9-10, at the luxurious Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel in British Columbia, Canada. Attendees include resort developers, management companies, hoteliers, financiers, investors, law firms, technology providers, exchange companies, rental and resale companies, construction and renovation companies, trade associations, travel agencies, marketing companies and consultancy firms.
“With a widening reach, CRC Conferences are a place to meet a unique mix of key industry professionals, learn from carefully planned sessions that are based on relevant topics to today’s marketplace, and network with people who are proactive in moving the vacation ownership and resort industry forward,” says Paul Mattimoe, president and CEO, Perspective Group.
This year’s panel discussions will focus on new and emerging trends, the latest technology, and challenges and growth opportunities in the Canadian and global markets. Here are the highlights of the CRC 2015 program:
An Industry Without Borders – This session will bring together four leading North American trade associations to discuss growing trends and opportunities for cross-border collaboration.
Resorts Without Borders – Following up on the previous session, resort developers and operators will highlight the merits and constraints of cross-border partnerships to increase traffic between destinations and deliver an expanding array of vacation experiences.
Preserving The Legacy – This panel will provide a detailed look at the operational side of HOAs as they continue to deal with increasing management fees, aging owners and resorts. Panelists will also address the impact of legacy resorts on sales of newer properties and product variations as well as the pros and cons of exit strategies, rental programs, restructuring and consolidation in order to take care of older properties and their owners.
Traditional and Alternative Financial Solutions – As alternative currencies and finance sources continue to gain popularity, our panel of experts will explore if there are ways to blend traditional financing with new funding sources like Bitcoin and crowd-sourcing.
Sharing Is Cool – Are We? – With companies like Uber and Airbnb thriving, this panel promises a lively debate on the past, present and future of the sharing economy and where vacation ownership – a sharing economy pioneer – fits into the picture for today’s travelers.
Engaging the Customer, Delivering The Experience – With customer expectations rising ever higher, experts will explore the latest tools and services to help resort developers and management companies continue to deliver on the promise of creating extraordinary vacation experiences.
