AMResorts Breaks Ground On New UVC Resort, Now Onyx Punta Cana

The President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, and other government officials joined UVC parent company, AMResorts, for Now Onyx Punta Cana’s symbolic groundbreaking ceremony on June 3. Upon the resort’s opening later next year, UVC members will be able to travel to nine properties in the Dominican Republic under five of AMResorts’ brands. Scheduled to open in November 2016 – in time for the winter travel season – the 500-room resort will be located in the Uvero Alto region of Punta Cana, a desirable destination in the Dominican Republic’s northeastern coast.
