With an ethos of empowerment, as opposed to hand-outs EDGE of AFRICA’s community projects aim to inspire locals in hard circumstances to make a better, more sustainable life, using the resources that are available in their community. 

EDGE of AFRICA is an award winning volunteer organisation based in South Africa. They specialise in community empowerment projects and environmental restoration initiatives in South Africa, Madagascar, Zimbabwe and Cameroon. EDGE of AFRICA receives over 200 volunteers per year from all over the world and are completely funded and manned by these incredibly generous people.
