(TRAVPR.COM) USA - October 8th, 2015 - WATERVILLE VALLEY, NH – It’s time once again to freeze our giblets for a great cause and kick-off the holiday season with a big splash! Don your bathing suits or wacky costumes and take the Cold Turkey Plunge into the icy waters of Corcoran Pond on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m.
All the cool turkeys will be at the 3rd Annual Cold Turkey Plunge, which benefits the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports Program, a nonprofit organization that provides instruction and access to winter sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities.
Plungers are asked to raise a minimum of $50 in donations. All Plungers will receive a Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports “empowered bracelet,” an official Cold Turkey Plunge long sleeve t-shirt, and a tasty cold turkey sandwich courtesy of Chef Sean Stout of the Coyote Grill restaurant.
Premium incentives will be given to Plungers that achieve certain fundraising benchmarks, and prizes will be awarded to the “Grand Gobblers” in various categories, including individual with the most donations, team with the most donations, and best costumes.
The Plymouth region has embraced this fun annual event. Organizers are hoping this year’s Cold Turkey Plunge will be the biggest and best to date!
