Unlimited Vacation Club Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

UVC Milestones
2011: New Brand, New Luxuries – The family-friendly Sunscape® Resorts & Spas brand premiered with the opening of Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa, marking UVC’s debut in Ixtapa on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Also that year, members gained Preferred Club access, offering enhanced amenities, such as personalized check-in, private lounges with concierge service and more. UVC proceeded to develop a partnership with Yachts E®, inviting members to sail off to a tropical paradise with a fleet of luxury yachts.
2012: World of Options – With the opening of five properties, AMResorts debuted in Cancun, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta and Curaҫao, offering additional beachfront destinations for members to choose from. Further expanding its reach, UVC partnered with RCI®, a leader in vacation exchange with approximately 4,500 affiliated resorts in more than 100 countries. The association enables UVC members to enjoy Platinum-level RCI membership, including vacations at affiliated resorts and generous savings on golf and ski vacations, cruises and more.
2013: Chic Retreats – The sophisticated Breathless® Resorts & Spas launched with the opening of the ultra-contemporary Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic.
2014: Dream Destinations – The AMResorts portfolio grew by 20 percent with five new resorts. The expansion brought UVC to Costa Rica (Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica) and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (Dreams Sugar Bay St. Thomas). Meanwhile, AMResorts continued its expansion into the Cancun area with the openings of Zoёtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres Cancun, Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort and Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa. UVC launched the Lifestyle Collection, featuring exclusive benefits to enhance members’ lifestyle and leisure time at home and away, including golf, wine tours, spa experiences, entertainment and more.
2015: Record Growth – AMResorts has announced 13 new resort management deals so far this year, more than double the amount signed in 2014, marking a new record for the company. UVC members will be able to explore the new destination of Panama with Secrets Playa Bonita Panama Resort & Spa, opening in December. Other resorts set to open by the end of the year will be in the exciting destinations of Akumal, Cabo San Lucas, Montego Bay, Puerto Vallarta and Costa Rica. Also this year, UVC introduced its CHOICES™ Experience Program, inviting travelers to try out a membership and enjoy five years of annual vacations at special resort rates before upgrading to a UVC membership.
Bright Future – The aggressive growth continues, with AMResorts slated to have over 50 resorts open by the end of 2018, where UVC members can enjoy dream vacations.
