To get in on the fun be sure to visit Waterville Valley for the Bruce the Moose Birthday Bash and Family Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, December 27 and then finish off the year on Thursday, December 31 with a New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration.
Bruce’s Birthday Bash will begin with a daylong, mountain-wide scavenger hunt. Team up with family and friend to find all of Bruce’s items all over the mountain and win prizes. Registration is from 8-10 a.m. in Base Lodge. The party continues in the afternoon with face paintings and cupcakes at the White’s Peak Express Quad.
Then ring in the New Year with celebratory fireworks at 7:30 p.m. over Corcoran Pond in the Town Square. Be sure to come early to take advantage of the New Year’s Eve Extravaganza, complete with sleigh rides, dogsled rides, ice skating, and a buffet dinner at the Valley Pub & Grill.
The Waterville Valley Rec Department will offer a New Year's Eve Extravaganza for kids 7-12 on December 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Ring in the New Year with special guest, Odds Bodkin (www.oddsbodkin.net), Star Wars Dodgeball, crafts and a pizza dinner. But before the year ends, the Waterville Valley Rec Department will hold its annual Candy Cottage Workshop on Saturday, December 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Kids can create the candy cottage of their dreams, and decorate with an assortment candy canes, Hershey's Kisses, M & M's and other holiday treats.
