(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - December 8th, 2015 - Competing in the 92km category, Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel, participated this weekend in The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge. This most anticipated high-octane bike racing challenge is held each year in Dubai under the Patronage of the Dubai Sports Council with support from the Dubai Government, Dubai Police, RTA and UAECF.

Upon reaching the finishing line, Ferghal stated, "The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge is no doubt one of the most exciting and tough competitions featuring some excellent riders. Packing a real punch, the vibrant streets of Dubai offer a spectator-friendly circuit with families, enthusiasts and professionals.  It is my first time to take part in it and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I will definitely be back next year. My goal is to inspire our associates with the benefits cycling has in terms of exercise while reducing pollution."

Since its launch in 2010, The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge has become the largest cycling competition of its kind in the Middle East, and reflects the growing enthusiasm for the sport throughout the region. This year more than 1,600 cyclists of all abilities and nationalities took part in the event with a good number of participants flying in from all over the world to cycle 92km.
