A new Grasshopper Adventures tour explores the outskirts of Siem Reap by bike during the afternoon, finishing at dusk in the Angkor Archaeological Park.
(TRAVPR.COM) CAMBODIA - December 18th, 2015 - As the heat of the day gives way to the serenity of evening, the new ‘Angkor at Twilight’ cycling tour heads north out of the town, into the countryside around Siem Reap, culminating in a ride through the Angkor Archaeological Park as the sun sets and dusk descends. Riding on quiet back roads, red-earth tracks and some of the small trails in the park, the tour presents vignettes of local life and tranquil rural scenes.
Aiming to show cyclists a different side of Siem Reap and the Angkor park, at a time when kids are coming home from school and famers are bringing in their animals at day’s end, and many tourist buses are departing the temples, the latest in the growing range of Grasshopper Adventures Cambodia day tours focuses on the natural and cultural aspects of evening, leaving actual temple exploration to the other tours in their range devoted to that subject.
The tour is 20-25kms in length, on completely flat terrain, making for an easy and enjoyable ride. A support van will return riders from the park to Siem Reap at the end of the tour.
