Transworld SNOWboarding is ready to kick off their 14th Annual TransAM with their first stop at Waterville Valley Resort. The TransAM makes its first stop of the season in the Exhibition terrain park at Waterville Valley Resort on January 9, 2016 and wraps up with the Finals in Bear Mountain, CA on March 19, 2016 making five stops on the tour in between. The Transworld TransAM is a unique slopestyle event that has become one of the premier tours across America in recent years.

The TransAM makes its first stop of the season in the Exhibition terrain park at Waterville Valley Resort on January 9, 2016 and wraps up with the Finals in Bear Mountain, CA on March 19, 2016 making five stops on the tour in between. “The Transworld TransAM is one of my favorite events of the year and we’re honored to be the first stop on the tour,” said Terrain Parks Director Luke Mathison. “For 14 years this event has made their first stop at Waterville Valley Resort and we’re glad Transworld has been able to make this such a great tradition. It’s awesome to see some of the region’s best athletes compete in this event in a terrain park that is designed to challenge world class competitors.”
Registration for the event opened on December 28, 2016 and can be done online at snowboarding.transworld.net. For the riders, TransAM is a chance to get exposure in front of a global audience and to qualify for finals at Bear Mountain, California to compete against the winners from each previous TransAM stop. The top three guys and girls from TransAM stops one through six automatically qualify to compete in the TransAM Finals for a chance to stake their claim as the 2016 TransAM Champion.
