The new ‘Nepal Panorama’ bike tour introduces an achievable itinerary for regular cyclists in Nepal to the Grasshopper Adventures range of trips in Asia.
(TRAVPR.COM) NEPAL - January 5th, 2016 - For those wishing to explore the Himalayan land of Nepal by bike the new Grasshopper Adventures ‘Nepal Panorama’ tour offers an itinerary achievable to regular cyclists with a good level of fitness. With the mountains visible in clear weather from many of the lower parts of the country, the trip allows riders a chance for panoramic views without having to get right into the heart of the Himalayas.
Following a short and scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara the cycling route traverses the scenic foothills of the Himalayas before heading south into the subtropical Terai region of Nepal, home to Chitwan National Park, where the tour includes a day dedicated to a wildlife safari with the possibility of spotting rhinos, bears and, if lucky, a tiger.
This is a classic off-road journey between Pokhara and Kathmandu spending no more than 40km on sealed roads throughout the whole tour. The route travels through charming villages and small towns, and through 'Kipling-esque' jungle, ending at the stunning Kathmandu Valley where a tour of the city introduces some of its many and wonderful UNSECO historical sites.
With the introduction of this trip Grasshopper Adventures are offering a cycling tour taking in Nepal's main highlights of Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan National Park, that is broadly achievable to all fit cyclists, while a support vehicle is on hand for times when riders need a break from their bikes.
