Big Game means Big Skiing Opportunities
(TRAVPR.COM) USA - February 3rd, 2016 - Lincoln, NH --
Super Bowl Sunday has almost become an unofficial holiday of sorts in the US and perhaps one of the best-kept secrets as one of the better days to ski each winter.
This February 7, while football fans at home are preparing for the big game that evening, consider taking advantage of the hill during the day.
With the final football game of the season falling in the middle of the ski season, typically good snow is easy to find for those skiers dedicated enough to getting out on the hill before digging into a bowl of chips. Additionally, there are plenty of deals to be found at ski resorts around New Hampshire, which are seldom found on a weekend, and plenty of events going on for those that enjoy the après ski scene.
At Cannon Mountain two people can ski or ride for just $75 for the day.
Bretton Woods is celebrating the big game, which is in its 50th season, with $50 lift tickets. Nordic skiing passes are just $50 for four skiers.
Gunstock will be offering a Family 4-Pack with which two adults and two teens or kids can ski or ride for just $214. Also available are half price rentals and Gunstock’s All in the Family Private Lesson for $119. Sunday is also Chair Lift Trivia Day with a grand prize for the taking.
From 2-5 p.m. Pats Peak will host the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge as well as its Coors Light/Super Bowl Après-Ski Beer Promotion. Be sure to stick around and watch the game following the event, as it will be played on five flat screens with full surround sound.
Kick off your Super Sunday at Cranmore with a Character Breakfast at Zip’s Pub. Hangout with C-More and other characters from 8 a.m.–10 a.m.
Other deals for the weekend include Loon Mountain’s $31 Sunday afternoon pass, which is also offered every non-holiday Sunday, or Sunapee’s $49 half-day Sunday pass.
