New Company Plans to Become Major Oregon Destination Developer

Built in 1945 and in the same family for the last 50 years, Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge is much more than just an “Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge.” It is a comfortable and stunning destination set on five, green acres along one of the most famous “wild and scenic” rivers in the country.
As part of the merger process, the lodge added Shannon Johnson as general manager with 27 years in the hotel industry; most recently at the Plaza Hotel in Ashland, Oregon, home of the famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Niva will be president of the river and recreation company and in charge of new product development. He grew Rogue Wilderness Adventures 300 percent over ten years by leveraging the region’s many outdoor recreation opportunities; including the recreational and “wild-and-scenic” Rogue River.
