Galapagos-based tour operator donating 50% of all Ecuador Mini-Adventure tour bookings to Earthquake Relief Efforts.
(TRAVPR.COM) ECUADOR - May 10th, 2016 - When Galakiwi began rolling out their new Mini-Adventure tours in Ecuador earlier this year, it was an exciting time allowing them to highlight their favorite overnight trips from Quito.
Historically, a lot of their Galapagos visitors have had a few free days available to explore Quito and the rest of Ecuador before heading to the islands. These short 2-day / 1-night Mini-Adventures were created as a way to allow Galapagos-bound travelers to see more of Ecuador than the classic Quito day tour.
The first two Mini-Adventures on offer are to Otavalo and the Mindo Cloud Forest Preserve. Galakiwi has plans to launch more Mini-Adventures in the future to Cuenca as well as coastal areas affected by the April 2016 earthquake, such as Guayaquil.
As the country of Ecuador continues to come together and support their fellow citizens, friends and neighbors, Galakiwi is supporting Red Cross Ecuador - www.cruzroja.org.ec - by donating 50% of any Mini-Adventure tour bookings from travelers who come and visit Ecuador up until June 30, 2016.
Tim Cooney, founder of Galakiwi said “The best way to support Ecuador is to come and visit. We encourage people to continue to travel to Ecuador during this time of need. Donating 50% of our Ecuador Mini-Adventure revenues is just our small way of lending support.”
