(TRAVPR.COM) GREECE - June 16th, 2016 - The Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa, the Santa Marina Beach Hotel in Amoudara and Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa in Sitia, all member-hotels of Cyan group of hotels, successfully achieved all assessment procedures based on the inclusion criteria of the Green Key sustainability certification scheme.

The Green Key award is a leading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. This prestigious eco-label represents a commitment by businesses that their tourism establishments adhere to the strict criteria as stipulated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). A Green Key stands for an establishment’s promise to its guests that by opting to stay with such an establishment, they are helping to make a difference on an environmental and sustainability level.

The Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa - 5 * with 334 rooms, the Santa Marina Beach - 4 * with 208 rooms and the Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa - 5 * with 161 rooms. The workforce consists over 200 employees. The hotels situated at Amoudara in Heraklion and Sitia, in the island of Crete, Greece.
