(TRAVPR.COM) GREECE - July 4th, 2016 - The Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa hotel, situated at Amoudara of Irakleio Crete, was awrded the “Blue Flag” certification for the 25th year in a row . Hotels Santa Marina Beach Hotel, Amoudara and Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa, have been receiving the same certfication for a number of years years. All three hotels belong to the ‘Cyan group of hotels’, a Cretan company founded 40 years ago.

Blue Flag
The "Blue Flag" is a symbol of quality in over 40 countries and is awarded to organized beaches and marinas managed by coastal municipalities, hotels and other organizations on the basis of strict criteria.
It is a volunteer program that is a model environmental action to shore with a large number of bathers . The aim of the program is cleaning the seas and coasts, providing safe and appropriate services for bathers and visitors and creaing environmental awareness.
Cyan group of hotels
The Cyan group of hotels was founded in 1976 and incorporates three hotels. The Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa - 5 * with 334 rooms, the Santa Marina Beach - 4 * with 208 rooms and the Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa - 5 * with 161 rooms. The workforce consists of over 200 employees. The hotels are situated at Amoudara in Heraklion and Sitia, in the island of Crete, Greece.
