JADE MOUNTAIN AND ANSE CHASTANET NAMED TO TOP RESORTS LIST
SOUFRIERE, St. Lucia (July 15, 2016) - Two of Soufrière, St. Lucia's top resorts have been included among the Top 25 Caribbean resorts by one of the world's leading travel magazines.
Travel + Leisure's (T+L) World's Best Awards reader survey results, which reveal the hotels that deliver the most extraordinary experiences, list Jade Mountain in third position in the Caribbean while its eco-chic sister property, Anse Chastanet, came in at number 13 in the rankings.
Karolin Troubetzkoy, Executive Director of Marketing and Operations at both properties, which lie next to each other overlooking the iconic twin peaks of the Pitons, was delighted the neighboring resorts were included in the prestigious ranking.
"We are very happy that Jade Mountain has retained its position as the best resort in St. Lucia, as well as being ranked third among the Top 25 Caribbean Resorts," said Troubetzkoy.
Equally impressive, Jade Mountain is included on the list of The 100 Best Hotels in the World, coming in at number 90 and holding company with some of the world's most exclusive properties.
For Troubetzkoy, the recognition is a particularly gratifying achievement as the judging becomes more competitive each year. "On an experiential level, everyone is reaching above and beyond to impress and serve guests," said Troubetzkoy, who congratulated Kamalame Cay in The Bahamas and Curtain Bluff in Antigua for capturing the top two Caribbean positions, respectively.
The increasing competition, according to Troubetzkoy, who is also president of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, is something to which the region's hospitality industry must pay attention: "We need to see many more Caribbean properties included on these lists of the world's most outstanding hotels and resorts," she added.
For T+L's annual poll, the magazine asked respondents to vote for the hotels, destinations and other travel companies that define the very best in travel.
The survey results represent one of the most widely recognized and respected rankings in the travel and tourism industry worldwide.
