The company has been the proud winner of a number of awards this year for its social media campaigns and online presence from various international awarding bodies solidifying its place as the country’s leading Destination Management Company.

A member of the Walkers Tours Social Media team was adjudged Social Media Professional of the year at the Indo Lanka Customer Engagement Forum and Awards held at the Taj Samudra hotel in Colombo in January. The event which recognized the best customer engagement campaigns, creatives and activities executed for the year, played host to some of the leading companies in Sri Lanka and India.

Since its inception in 2013 the Asia Customer Engagement Forum has celebrated the best campaigns that have delivered the ultimate in Customer Experience which led to improved customer engagement, loyalty and retention.

Walkers Tours also won the Gold award for Most Admired Customer Engaged Website at the Asia Pacific Customer Engagement Forum held in Mumbai India. This year’s awards saw 410 entries from Brands and Agencies from India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and China. 

The company then went on to win the “Best in Class” award for its website (www.walkerstours.com) at the Interactive Media Awards held recently. The site managed to secure an overall score of 492 out of a maximum of 500. The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism.

The Interactive Media Awards recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement. The list of judges include distinguished professionals from leading companies in the United States.

Walkers Tours was one of 255 entries submitted in the 'Travel/Tourism' category for the awards.
