Tourism continues to grow in Equatorial Guinea

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - August 4th, 2016 - In celebration of Equatorial Guinea thirty-seven year commemoration of Armed Forces Day, many historical monuments, government facilities and stadiums played host to mark the day. H.E. Obiang Nugema Mbasogo, President of Equatorial Guinea brought freedom to his people on August 3, 1979.

On Avenida Juan Pablo II in Bata, the head of the Department of National Defence placed a wreath at the monument to the heroic soldiers, as a token of appreciation for their contribution to the Freedom Coup ending eleven years of dictatorship.

The cultural attractions in Equatorial Guinea allow visitors to take a step back in time and enjoy the ammenties of five star hospitality services, said Victor Mooney, Managing Director, Spirit of Malabo Group.

The government of Equatorial Guinea has invested heaviliy in infrastructure and identified tourism as a key sector for diversifiying the country's economy. This is part of the Horizonte 2020 Development Plan, which is also creating local employment for the youth.
