The new service will be offered weekly, on Fridays, between June 2 and September 29, 2017. The widebody Airbus aircraft will fly direct to Porto with a stop in the Azores in Ponta Delgada.

This new flight will double the number of seasonal flights from T.F. Green Airport offered by Azores Airlines in 2017.

The city Porto sits near the mouth of the Douro River, close to the Atlantic and has medieval walls and a cathedral, a classical riverfront, as well as modern venues. Porto is hilly, with many buildings built off a cliff face perched on the river. Across the river from Porto, in the city of Gaia, are warehouses of Port wine companies such as Calem, Fonseca, Sandman’s and Kopek.
