New trip is most In-Depth Stand-Up Paddle board Tour in the Galapagos, offering SUP excursions on three Islands.
(TRAVPR.COM) ECUADOR - December 15th, 2016 - After many years of testing – and playing with – SUPs in the Galapagos Islands, San Cristobal-based Galakiwi Adventures has launched the most in-depth SUP tour of the Galapagos Archipelago.
Demand has grown in the past two years to the point that owner Timothy Cooney decided it was time to launch a more SUP-friendly adventure tour. Working with local surf and SUP experts, Galakiwi tested a variety of brands and products to determine the best SUPs suitable for the sometimes rugged conditions of the Galapagos Islands.
Tim Cooney, said “We’ve had SUPs in our office in the Galapagos for many years, but felt it was finally time to offer them on our public tours. This new tour is all about enjoying the beautiful water in the Galapagos. We have packed this trip full of SUP, snorkel, swim and kayak options.”
Indeed, almost every day of this 10-day Galapagos SUP tour includes some activity on the water. It is suitable for people with any level of SUP experience, as each SUP activity can be substituted for kayaking. If a traveler doesn’t want to try SUP Surfing, then they can hop in a kayak instead.
Visiting Santa Cruz, Isabela and San Cristobal, this SUP tour is set to launch in January 2017, with departures every other week. Details about the new Galapagos tour are available on their website at www.galakiwi.com. To kick things off, Galakiwi is also offering a free day tour to Espanola Island for early bookers.
