Easy-to-use map lets visitors discover Yangon's hidden gems and doubles as a guidebook on the cities lesser known sights

YANGON, MYANMAR, 17th May 2017: Myanmar travel specialists Thahara has teamed up with local creative digital agency Nex to create a fun illustrated map that shows off Yangon’s alternative side, shining a light on some of the lesser known sights in the country’s largest city.
To celebrate the launch of the new map, Thahara have also created 2 new day tours in Yangon that take guests to some of the top sights highlighted on the map. Thahara’s “Guide to Yangon’s Art Scene” and “A Night Celebrating Myanmar’s Traditions” are available to book online with prices starting at $48 per person.
Thahara’s “Alternative Yangon Map” features tips and information on the best sites, sounds and restaurants as well as Thahara’s favourite hangout spots and galleries. The easy-to-use English-language map is available for free at selected locations around Yangon. “We have highlighted nearly two dozen of our favourite locations in Yangon that we wanted to share with visitors who want to delve that little bit deeper and uncover Yangon’s true colours” said Thahara’s General Manager Tom Wood.
