Azores Airlines is offering multiple flights almost each day to some of the best destinations in Europe and beyond –with non-stop service to Lisbon, the Azores, and direct flights to Barcelona, Madeira, Porto and Cape Verde.
This summer, Boston will have five flights to Ponta Delgada (Azores) per week, on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Those 4-hour non-stops connect on to Madeira, Porto, Barcelona, and the other eight islands of the Azores.
There will be one flight to Lisbon six days a week - and two flights a day on Saturdays, one of them via Ponta Delgada. Plus, three flights a week to Terceira, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and two flights a week to Barcelona via Ponta Delgada, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Also there are two flights a week to Cape Verde via Ponta Delgada, on Sundays and Thursdays. This supersized schedule runs from June to September, but some flights will still be available in October and December, such as Barcelona and Cape Verde.
São Miguel is the capital of the Azores. São Miguel is the largest, greenest island with the most crater lakes, the biggest city, and the unique Furnas Valley, known for its geysers, golf, breads, and gardens.
Visit the Lagoa das Sete Cidades, the most famous crater lake on the island. Lagoa das Furnas, a great place for hiking trails or canoeing.
Terceira’s capital is Angra do Heroísmo and its historic center is a World Heritage Site due to its important architecture.
