Sambar Lake in Rajasthan will now fascinate tourists with its light and sound show. The show will seek to acquaint tourists with the history of Rajasthan.

(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - August 24th, 2017 - Sambar Lake in Rajasthan will now fascinate tourists with its light and sound show. The show will seek to acquaint tourists with the history of Rajasthan. "Sambhar Lake has an important place in the history of the state. We will display this history and through the light and sound show,” stated a senior official of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) while speaking to DNA.

The funds being utilized for this project have been allocated to the Sambhar circuit under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Central government."The show will be held at the courtyard of Sambhar Salt complex. The tender process is yet to be cleared," an official was quoted as saying.

The project has faced protests in the past from environmentalists in the name of protecting flamingoes in that ecosystem.

However, former IFS officer and eminent environmentalist Sunayan Sharma said, Flamingos are an attraction in Sambhar. They are deep inside in the lake, and won't get disturbed with this.”
