(TRAVPR.COM) Bethlehem, NH - August 31st, 2017 -Adair Country Inn and Restaurant in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains is celebrating the New Hampshire Highland Games with a very special dining and lodging event. The Inn is offering an unforgettable gourmet reception, dinner, drinks and ‬ access to the Highland Games.

It all starts with an Adair Celebration Dinner on September 14th and an evening with the winner of 2016's Master Chef Competition, Scotland's own Gary Maclean. Chef Maclean will be the host and chef - treating guests to a multicourse dinner. Chef Maclean will provide a detailed description of each course while discussing the culture and food of Scotland and his own career. The pre-event the reception will offer the same unique canapés he prepared when he won the Royal Canapé Competition at Buckingham Palace a few years ago. Friday evening, September 15th will feature a scotch whiskey presentation and tasting hosted by local whiskey connoisseur Nigel Manley.

According to Chef Maclean, "I am very much looking forward to the dinner at Adair Country Inn and Restaurant, knowing how amazing the local produce is and putting a little Scottish MasterChef twist onto the evening is going to be fun. I think people can expect something a little different and this is the only dinner I am doing on this trip. I have created events like this from New York, to London and Singapore and coming to New Hampshire is going to be a real highlight since for me since winning the show."

The Games, the largest in North America, are a spectacle like no other, set against the scenic White Mountains. Full of tartans and pageantry, the Games are a mix of the sights and sounds of an authentic Scottish Highland Games & Festival.

Born in Glasgow, Chef Maclean was crowned MasterChef: The Professionals Champion 2016 in December 2016, after taking on 47 other professional chefs in the pursuit of culinary glory. He battled through seven weeks of fierce competition on TV screens and extra-ordinary cooking in the culinary challenges. There was only one king of the kitchen and he touched the hearts and passions of the UK TV audience.

He has also held executive chef positions at two of Scotland’s biggest independent operators and his current role as Senior Lecturer at City of Glasgow College is what really drives his passion for mentoring other young chefs and creative cooking.

Set among 200 acres with views of the Presidential Range and Franconia Notch, the Adair was built in 1927 by prominent Washington, DC attorney Frank Hogan for his only child, Dorothy, when she married. Frequent guests at the home included politicians, sports figures of the day and even Hollywood actress Helen Hayes, and her childhood friend.
