H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo receives Person of the Year Award in New York City.

On the sidelines of 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, His Excellency, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of Equatorial Guinea, Father and Architect of modern Equatorial Guinea and Founder of Party Democratico Guinea Ecuatorial (PDGE) received Black History Month USA 2017 Person of the Year Award on Wednesday.
Equatorial Guinea has become one of the most promising African destinations. From birdwatching, eco-tourism, adventure travel, championship golf courses, white sand beaches, and local stability, this country's has an array of activities to enjoy. The country also has a number of five star resorts and hotels. Tourism development is a strategic effort of the governments Horizonte 2020 Plan, which was implemented to diversify the economy.
The purpose of Black History Month USA is to expand America's commemoration in February by highlighting one African country every year for 365 days. Founded in 1994, this activity is being coordinated by US based South African Arts International, Ltd. (SAAI) with aim of increasing tourism, foreign direct investments, educational and cultural partnerships in African countries.
