The concept of Ragasthan came into picture in 2014. 2018 is the third edition of the fiesta which will be held in the vast dunes of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer. Varied culture, electrifying music, incredible tradition, shared experiences and collective participation are the highlights of the gala. This in turn lures the people who live life to the fullest, from every nook and corner of the world. Attending Ragasthan 2018, is not just being present at a music festival. It is much more than that. This musical carnival is a mosaic of 50 artists, film screening, camping space, open bars, morning yoga sessions, restaurants etc. Hot-air balloon rides, para-motoring and dune bashing, bonfires and open-air cinema nights are some other draw cards of this exciting three day festival. The lineup of the fiesta will be announced soon. However, previously the presence of stars like saxophone sensation Ryan Oliver and even real gypsy musicians traveling the world have raised the excitement level of the audience last year.
Ragasthan evokes the enthusiasm for its three stages namely, Morio stage, Ammara stage and Birakha stage. The first stage is for Sufi, rock, funk and soul music. The second stage hosts tech, electronic prog, trance music. Further, the third stage is associated with tent setup for indie acoustic acts.
