(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - February 26th, 2018 - Swiss-Belhotel International (SBI) has appointed Mr. Bert Plas as the General Manager for Grand Swiss-Belresort Seef in Bahrain. The Grand Swiss-Belresort Seef is a 5-star luxury resort featuring 193 rooms and suites equipped with the finest facilities and is expected to open by June 2018.

Working with leading international brands, Mr. Plas has over 25 years of outstanding hotel management experience across Europe, the Middle East, North and South America and the Caribbean region.

Making the announcement, Mr. Laurent A. Mr. Plas entered the hospitality industry upon completion of his education from the prestigious Hesser Hotel Management School in Zurich, Switzerland and Hotel Management School in Zwolle, Netherlands. During the course of his distinguished career, he had the opportunity to work in many senior roles including the position of General Manager with a number of successful hotels such as Crown Plaza Hotel in Trinidad Tobago and Le Meridien Hotel, British Guyana. In 2009, Mr. Plas joined the Sofitel Hotels & Resorts where he stayed for over eight years serving various properties as the General Manager. Prior to joining The Grand Swiss-Belresort Seef, Mr. Plas was the General Manager of Sofitel Jeddah Corniche in KSA since September 2015.
