BAY GARDENS RESORTS TO HOST "BEACH SUNSET JAZZ"
ST. LUCIA (May 4, 2018) - A locally-owned hotel in St. Lucia is getting into the spirit of St. Lucia Jazz by presenting a free "Beach Sunset Jazz" musical showcase for local residents and visitors to the island.
Sanovnik Destang, Executive Director of Bay Gardens Resorts, announced that the Wednesday, May 9 event will be a celebration of the musical creativity of St. Lucians and a setting to generate exposure for local musicians.
To be held on Reduit Beach near the resort chain's flagship Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa, the jazz experience will feature local food and beverage offerings with spectacular sunset views, and promises to be an entertaining event.
Sedale, Trevor Dornelly, Claudia and the band Naked Chords, Rashaad Joseph and the iconic duo Rob Zii and Phyness will perform at the family-focused event, which is set take place between 5 and 10 p.m.
"Our team is pleased to offer a fun-filled event that forms a small, but important part of this year's jazz celebration," said Destang, who reported that Bay Gardens Resorts was committed to playing its part showcasing the creativity of local musicians, Creole cuisine and the vibrant culture for which St. Lucia is becoming increasingly known around the world.
St. Lucia Jazz is a celebration of St. Lucian, Caribbean and international jazz music, with events in all parts of the country, culminating with a major concert at the Pigeon Island National Landmark on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13, 2018.
