TOURISM ROADSHOW

(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - May 5th, 2018 - In an effort to reach out to the travel trade in “Pink City”’ Jaipur, India. Goa Tourism has organized a one-day road show on the last day of GITB, Jaipur at Fortune Select Metropolitan - Jaipur.

In order to boost tourism in the state, Goa Tourism Department is organising road shows and participating in travel marts across the nation. Building interactions with stakeholders like Travel & Tour operators as well as media persons. The attendees are high profile delegation of Goa Tourism officials consisting of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Senior Manager, Marketing and PRO  Mr. Deepak Narvekar, Mr.Sudesh Tamboskar,  Tourism Information Officer,  Mr.Prashant Parsekar, among others are in Jaipur  to attend  GITB.
They also participated in a Goa Tourism Roadshow at Fortune Select Metropolitan where leading travel and tour operators, travel association heads, and representatives of the media attended.

The GTDC Senior Manager, Marketing and PRO Mr. Deepak while interacting with the travel & tour operators announced that an aggressive 360 degree promotional campaign is being launched to create awareness about the mesmerising destinations of all the regions of the state – GOA.

Goa has various tourism facets and some of them include:

Adventure Tourism

Goa has taken adventure tourism to new heights with the operation of unique adventure services like Hot Air Ballooning in the north and Hop on Hop off bus service in the south. The monsoon season in Goa has also picked up due to the successful operations of white water rafting activity in the river Mhadei.

Various other activities such as Segway  Tours,  Bungee  jumping, Scuba   Diving  and  Horse  Riding  trails  are  also  set  to  begin shortly.

A very exciting project of the Ropeways is also in progress and will be a major tourism attraction here in Goa.

Wedding Tourism:

While marriages are made in heaven, Goa Tourism is ensuring that the celebrations deserve a place no less. The tiny State has become a big hot spot for weddings and wedding celebrations. With  excellent  air, road and rail connectivity,  wide  range  of hotels,  cuisine,  entertainers and a  lot  more, Wedding  tourism in Goa has caught  on  in a  big way. The  State  has bagged  several awards as a leading Wedding and  Honeymoon Destination Goa’s  offerings  for  Wedding  tourism  are umpteen  and  tempting.

Festivals and Events:

One of Goa’s major tourist draws are festivals and events that are organized from October till May.  Goa Tourism  takes  the  opportunity  to  showcase  how the  tiny State  has  diverse  cultures,  folklore, food and festivities. From the  annual  religious festivals  of  Ganesh Chaturti,  Diwali, Christmas to the   annual events – Carnaval, Shigmo,  and the conceptualized  events  such as  Grape  Escapade – Asia’s biggest  Wine  festival and Goa Food  and Cultural  Festival. Tourists find reasons to visit Goa during ever season. Even the   Monsoons are  an exciting time to  be  in Goa with a  large  number  of  monsoon  festivals  organized  showcasing  Goa’s  cultures and traditional. Some of them include Sao Joao, Bonderam, Sangodd, Poderachem fest, Touxachem fest, Patolleanchem fest, Ponsachem fest and many more.

Safety & Security of Tourists:

Goa Tourism has never left a stone unturned when it comes to safety and security of tourists.  The  water and  beach patrol with 676  life guards  and  an addition 117  personnel on beach patrol till  midnight,  tourist police to  crack the  whip on  touting,  and   the  women taxi service – an exclusive  service for women tourists and   women passengers reassures  tourists  visiting Goa   that  Goa  tourism  has  not  compromised  on  the safety cover for tourists visiting the  State.  Goa  is also  a safe  destination for  night  life and this has  been  endorsed  by none  less     than  National Geographic in  its   listing  of  the  Top  10 Best Nightlife  Cities in the   World where  Goa  figures  Sixth on the list.

Beach Cleaning Initiatives:

Goa Tourism  is proud  to announce  to the  world  that it  has  five  of the  best beaches among 25  endorsed  by Trip Advisor at the  Best of  2015 Awards. Goa also has 11 of India’s 25 best beaches, again in Trip Advisors Best of 2015 Awards.

Goa  tourism showcases  to the  world   its clean beaches  emanating from  the  Comprehensive  Beach Cleaning Management  Plan and   other Clean Beach  Initiatives.  The other mechanisms introduced for collection, segregation and disposal is also showing good results.  The Whatsapp initiative is also working systematically.
