(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - October 29th, 2018
Artplus Gallery held the official opening of the Creative Visions Joint Art Exhibition, in collaboration with the Creatopia Center in Jeddah, at Royal Central Hotel The Palm on 25th October. The exclusive event was organised under the kind patronage of H.E. Shaikha Hind bint Abdulaziz AlQassimi, President of BPW Emirates, and Dr. Rashid Al Ghayadh, Saudi Cultural Attache in the UAE, and brought together over 40 highly acclaimed artists from around the world in a collective show. Out of these 23 were from Saudi Arabia.
The hugely successful evening attracted a big turnout of art lovers. The exhibition was extremely impressive in its range and variety. The paintings ranged from medium to large sizes with figurative and abstract images outweighing other forms. Some of the works were quite intense and dark while others were a blaze of colour.
Mohamed Hassan, General Manager of Royal Central Hotel The Palm, said, “Art in the GCC region is blossoming and we were truly proud to welcome these leading local, Saudi and international artists to showcase their distinctive paintings to people in the UAE. Art is in everything we do and that is what this group of artists have attempted to portray. They put together a wonderful collection with some unique compositions and we were delighted to be a part of this outstanding exhibition.”
The organisers believe that the exhibition will serve as a big milestone in collaboration of art and culture between local and international artists, and will give a unique opportunity to UAE residents to discover the various forms of art.
