(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - September 9th, 2014 - Chennai - Park Hyatt Chennai introduces Kebab and WhiskeyFestival at the award winning restaurant The Flying Elephant from the 14th September to 20th September, both days inclusive. The tandoor, or clay oven is known to have glorified many succulent kebabs, the cuisine that dates back to centuries. Authentic and aromatic flavors are brought to the foodies of Chennai using the traditional Indian tandoor, the authenticity of which seconds none in terms of taste.
These rustic and robust delicacies made out of meat, vegetables or lentils may be paired with a selection of smooth, oaky whiskies that bring the best out of an evening. Recipes featuring carefully chosen spices and ingredients such as the yellow chilli powder, home-ground garammasala, kashmirichilli, kasoorimethi, cardamom, royal cumin powder and a few more recreates the culinary magic that may have long been forgotten. Chef Himmat Singh’s special Kebab menu offers a mix of melt-in-the-mouth vegetarian and non-veg kebabs, such as the kakori kebab, macchikesule, rajmagalouti, harabhara kebabjust to name a few.
