Craft beer lovers will experience the best of Bavaria’s beer and brewing scene on an industry-sponsored, 11-day insider's tour focusing on women beer-makers, craft beer, abbey breweries and traditional family-owned regional breweries. The dates are October 19-29, 2018.

Led by Philadelphia-based Treasures of Europe Tours, the trip is the only German beer tour that skips Big Beer destinations and focuses on regional under-the-radar breweries and hidden craft beer hot-spots in the nooks and crannies of Bavaria.

The tour is offered in cooperation with the Pink Boots Society, the nation’s leading group for women brewers and women beer professionals. The Association of Private Breweries in Bavaria is sponsoring the tour in Germany.

Tour participants will enjoy a private session and tasting with Sister Doris, Bavaria’s iconic nun brewer, at Mallersdorf Abbey. They’ll be hosted at three other abbey breweries, stay in a Medieval castle and sleep in a 1000-year-old monastery. The expedition features beer destinations in four distinct regions of Bavaria, including Bamberg, the UNESCO World Heritage city well-known for its breweries.
