London prepares to break out the bunting once again for another right royal knees-up with all events listed on LondonTown.com

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - May 22nd, 2013 - Following the royal wedding of 2010 and the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of 2012, London has yet another royal event to look forward to in 2013 with the Coronation Festival from July 11th-14th. This four-day event marks the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation with the celebrations taking place at Buckingham Palace. The Coronation Festival is sure to attract a huge number of spectators and visitors can use LondonTown.com to book their accommodation at a wide range of London hotels near Victoria, just a short walk from Buckingham Palace.

The Coronation Festival offers a rare to visit the gardens of Buckingham Palace, where more than 200 companies with the Royal Warrant of Appointment will showcase their products in four areas: food and drink; design and technology; homes and garden; style, pursuits and pastimes. Royal Warrants of Appointment are a mark of recognition for those who have supplied goods or services for at least five years to the households of The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh or The Prince of Wales. In the evening, the palace gardens will host a sold-out Coronation Gala concert that will feature the cream of UK music and dance talent, including Katherine Jenkins and Russell Watson, as well as performers from across the Commonwealth.

The Coronation Festival is not the only royal event taking place this summer in London, with many others listed on LondonTown.com. At the annual public opening at Buckingham Palace there is a special exhibition looking at diamonds, while there will also be a special exhibition at Westminster Abbey, titled Coronation! This photographic exhibition shows the preparations undertaken at the Abbey before the 1953 Coronation ceremony using iconic photographs from the archive. Visitors can see the historic images in massive detail as the latest techniques allow the pictures to be blown up to many times their original size, printed onto paper-thin fabric and then dramatically backlit.
